St. Ann’s Catholic Parish in DeBary published a note of thanks in the church's Oct. 25 bulletin.
“This has been a very unexpected year from the closing of our parishes, schools and businesses; economic uncertainty; and social justice issues that continue to challenge us; but one thing remains strong is our commitment to our Faith,” Parochial Administrator Fr. Andrzej Jurkiewicz said. While this year has been a true challenge, the church has been able to thrive thanks to the generosity of those who have faithfully given to it.
The note stated the church brought in nearly $9,000 from that week's offertory, nearly $2,000 for the Sister Diocese and $500 for the Disaster Fund; all of which are examples of the generosity of those who attend the church.
“It is with sincere appreciation and gratitude that I present to you this year’s Annual Financial Report” (published in the same bulletin), Fr. Jurkiewicz stated. “Please continue praying together for the end to this pandemic.”
