All Souls Catholic Church in Sanford shared an update and message of encouragement from the pastor in the Sept. 6 bulletin

The Rev. David Vivero noted that there is still a great deal of suffering going on from the COVID-19 pandemic. But while it is still very much impacting the community, there is hope as the elementary school at All Souls recently reopened.

CDC guidelines are being carefully followed, and the also church followed the recommendations from the Diocese of Orlando.

“By the Grace of God, may we continue to protect ourselves and our beloved parish, the people of God, as we pray in hope and for the wellbeing of our community,” Vivero said.

He also noted that as we reflect on the gospel, we must be diligent about loving as Christ loved and forgiving those who have wronged us.

“Our community flows from Jesus’ commandment of love,” even if we must forgive 70 times 7, Fr. Vivero said.
