Father Michael Grady of Ft. Lauderdale’s Saint Anthony Catholic Church and School wrote a letter published in the church’s Aug. 23 bulletin welcoming students back to school.

The school opened its doors to 21 pre-K students on Aug. 19, as the older students started virtual courses. Fr. Grady noted that the Archdiocese plans to do a monthly assessment to determine when all students can physically come back to the campus.

“While it may seem to some that everything is on hold because of the pandemic, our parish ministries continue to be active," Fr. Grady said in the letter. "Our Youth Ministry continues to do service in the community, as do our wonderful Women’s Guild and Homeless Ministry! The Knights of Columbus are also making plans to be of service to our parish and the greater community. As Saint Lawrence reminds us, the true treasure of the Church is our congregations."
