All Saints Catholic Church in Sunrise has reported the recent death of Rev. William Muñiz in a church bulletin published this month.

In the bulletin, the church highlighted Muñiz's many accomplishments, including his ministry work in Nicaragua:

"In Remembrance of Rev. William Muñiz. Born in Nicaragua June 23, 1935. Ordained May 28, 1994. Died July 31, 2020. Father Muñiz had marked his 25th anniversary as an Archdiocesan priest last year," the bulletin read. "Before that he had been a priest in the Episcopal Church for 27 years. He was a spiritual father to many communities in Nicaragua, Texas and South Florida. He was a father to 3 sons, grandfather of five and husband for 63 years to his wife Olga. Father Bill helped All Saints celebrating Masses for the past 8 months. He passed from complications from COVID-19. 'O Lord, may Thy mercies, which we implore, avail Thy Priest departed. In Thee he believed: May he, in Thy mercy, be united with Thee for evermore. Through our Lord.'”
