The importance of prayer – in good times and bad – was the topic reflection in the June 19 weekly bulletin from the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Cocoa.

Parishioners were asked to consider how a gift or a kind word, even when it is not perfect or well-spoken, is taken by the receiver.

“You may not always have the right words, and you may not always select the perfect gift, but the beloved knows what is in your heart,” read the reflection.

In the same way, while prayer may not feel as powerful when a person praying is alone, in the midst of difficulty or when the way is dark and uncertainty leaves one unsure of what they should even pray for, God knows and is always listening.
